Out of several renowned monuments, India as a country is also a proud abode to some of the most amazing road and railway bridges which are being recognized at the international level. Moreover, some of these modern bridges in India play a major role in people's transport. Bandra-Worli Sea Link:The Bandra-Worli sea link officially called the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable-stayed bridge that is built on the Mahim bay with length of 5600m, which is about 18400ft.

The India's largest bridge at the moment links Bandra in the Western suburbs of Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai.
The Rs. 16 billion bridge was commissioned by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation and built by the Hindustan Construction Company. The first four of the eight lanes of the bridge were opened to the public on 30 June 2009. And the other eight lanes were later opened on 24 March 2010.
