5: I was about to mention that as well. When I was small, I traveled through this beautiful "Pahar Line" as popularly known amongst the people of Assam and particularly, the North Cachar hills and Cachar.
How come people of India do not know about this beautiful landscape and Jatinga famous for its birds committing sucide on its way.

6: This is probably the best train journey I've experienced. There'a a tunnel almost 3 kms in length. Another point worth noting is that unlike other routes, this route reduces the travel time drastically as compared to road.
