Munnar Thekkadi and Alleppey
I always love to get out on a refreshing journey whenever I get screwed with work , For me it's always gives some refreshing experience, Last time I made it to Munnar Thekkadi and Alleppey with a couple of buddies. We hired one Santro as we all are confident in driving. We planned to start our journey to Munnar then Thekkady and finally Alleppey from Eranakulam.
That’s all we planned. None of us had any idea about the stay and all. That’s how we made the trip interesting.

We started our journey in the morning with a black tea. Pull over near Ashtamudi restaurant for breakfast, had a very good breakfast and again we started. Regarding to the prior interest we decided to play. As Arjun said we planned to pull over near Cheenyapara water falls for lunch. After lunch we rested a while and continued uphill journey. The road was curvy and it was drizzling, it made the drive slow and little risky. We got a room in deluxe hotel; it was not over crowded because of monsoon season. The night was the ‘Awesome’ one I would say; we enjoyed a campfire at the hotel. Next day morning we went to visit Eravikulam. It was a wonderful trek through National park. We all enjoyed a lot. Then we headed to Blossom Park later to Kundala dam. From there we went to Echo point and finally
Mattupetty.

After Mattupetty the same day we started to Thekkady by bidding bye to Munnar. We reached by afternoon, and got room in Micheal Inn. In the morning we all headed for boating, we booked our boat tickets. The ride was good as we could spot some animals coming down to drink water. And then we went to Ramakkelmedu, the Eco Tourism Centre, to visit cardamom estate. Next we drove up to Kuravan Hill in the evening. We all enjoyed the trip in rain. It was quiet different one from all other trips.

The third day also we spent in Thekkady and then headed to Alleppey. We were all planned to stay in a housing boat. But unfortunately it was all booked. So we stayed in a small hotel. And the whole day we enjoyed the backwaters in Alleppey. It was a wonderful experience. Next day we returned to Cochin.
