Tulu Nada Udupi
Udupi, also known as Odipu in Tulu, is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is the administrative headquarters of Udupi District. Udupi is notable for the Krishna Templ and lends its name to the popular Udupi cuisine.

Udupi is famous for Udupi cuisine originated in the district as well as at Ashta Matha, i.e., eight Matts, Sri Krishna Temple and Udupi Hotels.

Udupi is also one of oldest Educational Centres. Yakshagana, the drama and dance folk art is highly developed and popular in Udupi district as well as other coastal of Karnataka.

The Udupi district was once thriving rice and coconut producer, but any longer. Also one can find arecanut (betelnut) gardens here and there. Cashew is also grown. The primary languages of Udupi district are Tulu, Kannada, Konkani, Beary Bashe and Urdu.

Udupi is the place of Lord Krishna, the idol which was installed by Madhvacharya in 11th century.It is one of the wealthiest shrine and a famous one at that. A must visit on on many of the temple circuits of south India.

The sanctity and cleanliness is well preserved here. Main deity is as the name indicates in Sree Krishna. We can see the deity through the window provided for the same only. the window is is called as 'Knankana Kindi'.
