Satish C. Srivastava, CEODue to the pandemic, a universal discretionary shut down on travel and hospitality was implemented, which resulted in temporary closure of many hospitality businesses. However, with things back to normal, people are stepping out to experience the world. Out of these, you see Gen Z more interested in experiences in life, happiness in physical and spiritual world rather than collecting fixed assets. Gone are those days when traveling the world was a step into the unknown. Nowadays various App development companies help to enrich their services by providing innovative ideas that shift travelling experience to a visionary level.

Since mobile phone have become an essential component in the travel niche, the significance of these apps are subsequently on rise. Here comes (in the picture) a resourceful app called The Travel Talk, which started its operation from 1st February 2022. It was conceived by Satish Srivastava while he was enjoying a boat ride on the Ganges in Varanasi. This idea came to him when he had hundreds of questions in his mind. Why were so many Ghats (84 in no.) made? What was the purpose and who made them? What is their present status? What celebrations and activities are held at them? “We mostly have guides at tourist and monuments places but chances of their availability and consistency are less. However, we do have our mobile phones in our pocket every time, where we can feed any amount of data and can produce images, audios & videos without facing any trouble,” explains Satish.

The Travel Talk is a very focused and structured app which provides virtual guide services in many cities like Varanasi, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mathura-Vrindavan and is planning to extend its services to other cities in the future. The main motto of this App is to bring complete knowledge about our heritage that encompass the various Ghats, temples & monuments after extensive research onto a digital platform so that it can be available immediately basis a user’s physical location indicated by the GPS, the latitude & the longitude position of the Ghat or the place of visit. The Travel Talk App a one-of-a-kind geo tagging App across Android & iOS is available as a virtual tour guide providing detailed information about popular tourist destinations. The Travel Talk adopts a holistic approach by providing location based information that can be availed through video, audio, text and images of any monument.

It is always interesting to have a glimpse of where you are heading to before you get there. The knowledge accumulated through the App can also be experienced through a book written by Satish which gives insights & knowledge about the historical, cultural, religious and spiritual importance of each and every place in Varanasi through photographs. The book and the App is further supplemented by a YouTube channel named “THE TRAVEL TALK INDIA,” where more than 20 videos based on important tourist destinations and the great men of Varanasi can be watched. All of these services have resulted in this App experiencing more than 2000 organic downloads. “Our App is a one step journey in enhancing experiences of travelers in India by providing correct and authentic information about the archaeological, social, cultural and spiritual importance of the places while adding their local flavour,” adds Satish. Talking about the App’s future roadmap, The Travel Talk has gained popularity in major cities like Varanasi, Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Mathura-Vrindavan and is now trying to expand its services, with the number of national & foreigner tourists increasing, by enhancing visibility through SEOs, SMOs, PR and advertisements.'
