Gaziantep, formerly and still informally known as Antep is the oldest city of the world located in southeast Turkey. Its history can be traced back to the Hittites period and it was constantly inhabited since the Paleolithic age. The city still has many mosques, medresse, inns and baths which are centuries old. The houses made of stone and the beautiful vineyards and gardens surrounding the bazaars add to the charm of this place.

1: Title is certainly wrong. It is true that Jeruslem is one of the oldest cities apart from Rome.
Even one city from China is there. What about cities from Grece? Athens? Consider the times of Alexander and Asoka. Why not Patna, capital of Asoka? What happened to Hastinaput (Delhi)
