The temple situated on Kanduka Hill in Karnataka, surrounded by Arabian Sea on three sides is the tallest temple in India, standing at a height of 249 feet. The gopuram of the temple holds the record of being the tallest across the globe and the place has been attracting visitors from all over the world, in the last many years. The main deity is Sri Mridesa Linga, which is also known as Murudeswara and one can also find a huge 40m height idol of the deity Lord Shiva in this marvelous shrine. Renowned businessman and philanthropist R. N. Shetty is behind the construction of the entire temple complex.
