Check wikipedia for more info...i want to share somemore info that u will not get on wikipedia.. It has the largest hals of tracks with both deisiel and electric loco sheds and also wagon shed and streches about 2-3kms after leaving the junction on chennai- delhi, hyderabad lane.. And with about 8 control sub-stations of controling the trafic of trains for their destinations.. So therefore we can imagine that the present vijaywada station about 10 platforms and with 24hrs trafic are not sufficent to handle the traind ... So Hav a look at the damn bussiest junction station of india.

You've mentioned Visakhapantnam which DOES NOT even falls in the category of the busy railway junctions. Get your facts correct before posting some proper news! Idiots!
