Mallalli Falls is one of the most beautiful water falls in Coorg. One would not disagree if someone says Malalli Falls better than Abbey Falls. This River flows down to Mangalore through Kukke Subrahmanya.
Mallalli falls is around 25 kilometers from Somvarpet or 42 kms from Kushalnagar. The water fall is only accessible by foot as the roads are very narrow and rugged.
From Somwrapet there are very few buses to Hanchinalli which is the nearest village to water the falls. Hiring a private vehicle is a better idea to reach Mallalli falls.
Monsoon as usual is the best time to see the real Mallalli Falls as there will be plenty of water which gushes down from the river and the mist and the green hills around adds to the beauty of Malalli Falls and the water usually dries up during summer.
Better fold your trouser bottoms or you might have a tough time getting rid of the crawling leeches during monsoon at Malalli.
