Kodaikanal
Kodaikanal is one of the most popular hill resorts in India. It is a charming hill station, stands amidst sylvan beauty on the southern crest of the upper Palani Hills near Madurai in Tamil Nadu. With its rocks, woods, lovely lake and bracing air, Kodaikanal is an ideal hill resort for the tourists. At an altitude of 2,133m, Kodaikanal is famous for its fruits and tastes like bananas, plums and lychees. The Kurinji flower, which is also known as the pride of Kodaikanal blossoms once in a decade and people from all over the world come here just to get a glimpse of the slanting mountains that are covered in bluish-purple shades.

1: To the writer. There is place called Coorg in South India. The place has the beauty of nature. It is also called as south indian Kashmir.

2: India has got a whole bunch of hill stations that the list must be redefined into 20 or 25 hill stations...any way nice list...

3: They have ignored Ranikhet and Nainital. They are better than Manali, Dehradun (Mussoorie - Dehradun is only a valley), Shillong and Ooty anytime. Gulmerg is better than Srinagar.

4: I am surprised how one can ignore Kerala hill stations Like Munar , Tekkadi,Waynad and Ponmudi... they are far better to few of here mentioned places...,

6: how did Dehradun get classified as a hill station? It is a vale lying between the himalayas and shivalik and cannot be classified as a hill station at all, just as Srinagar in J
