Montreal is a city in Canada. It was earlier known by the name of Ville-Marie, or "City of Mary". The city is now named after Mount Royal which is a triple-peaked hill located in the heart of the city. Montreal has the honor of being the first city in North America to adopt the bicycle-sharing programme. The city had around 2,400 miles of bike trails and paths for the tourist to explore. These cycle routes are modeled after Denmark's national cycle routes.
Not to miss: Montreal has a few popular cycle routes; the most popular out of them is the Lachine Canal, the quays of the Old Port and Rue McGill.
