Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary
The dry deciduous forests varied with the western sub tropical hills. The Bhadra wildlife sanctuary lies 1875 m high above the supercilious mount of Kallahathigiri on the Western Ghats.

The sanctuary that dominated by evergreen shoal forests in the eastern part, The Bhadra wildlife Sanctuary was named after its peaceful terrain river Bhadra. The Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is located roughly 38 km northwest from the Chikmagalur town in Karnataka state.

The sanctuary is documented as an "Important Bird Area" since the sanctuary host just about 100 species of birds and around 1000 bulky, even-toed ungulates genus Bison are live in the sanctuary. The wildlife sanctuary is a dwelling to 120 tree species including species of therapeutic goods.

The sanctuary is also famous for the elephant and Tigers populations where floras like teak, rosewood, mathi, nandi, honne, tadasalu and kindal are densely populated. Faunas like leopard, wild dog, jackal, deer, mouse deer, wild boar, common languor, bonnet macaque, slender Loris, Malabar giant squirrel. Reptiles like snake, king cobra, common cobra, Russell's viper, bamboo pit viper and many more where avian-Faunas like the grey jungle fowl, red spur fowl, painted bush quail, emerald dove, southern green imperial pigeon, great black woodpecker, Malabar parakeet and hill myna, yam flies, baronets, crimson roses, southern bird wings, tailed jays and many more are prominent.
