The recent improvements in roads leading to Kerala, and the lack of proper train connectivity has meant that buses are often the first choice for passengers heading to Kerala from Bangalore. Kallada Travels
Kallada (Suresh Kallada) Tours and Travels: The single biggest operator on the Bangalore-Kerala route now. They are also among the oldest surviving operators on the route. Kallada Tours and Travels operate 21 daily services to various parts of Kerala, daily from Bangalore. This includes 13 AC and 8 non-AC buses. They also operate the only Mercedes Benz Multi Axle AC Sleeper service operating out of Bangalore. Kallada is also launching a new Cochin-Bangalore-Mumbai Volvo B9R service from mid August the only Volvo service from Kerala to Mumbai. Kallada also operates services from Hyderabad and Chennai to Kerala.
