Chota Char Dham in India

Hindu pilgrimage circuit in the Indian Himalayas. Most pilgrims to the Chota Char Dham embark from the famous temple town of Haridwar. Dhams are often considered the most revered sites for Hindus that have to be visited in one's lifetime. The season is heaviest in the two-month period before the monsoon, which normally comes in late July.

Kedarnath Temple
Kedarnath Temple: Kedarnath is a sacrat town located in the scape of himalaya at Uttarakhand. Kedarnath is sitated in the altitude of about 3,583 m near Chorabari Glacier. The extreem weather condition on Kedarnath prompts the Kaedarnath Temple to remain open from the end of April to the begining of the November.Accessible only through a 14 km uphill trek from Gaurikund, the place is located near Mandakini River amidst majestic snow-clad mountains with breathtaking locales.Kedarnath Temple, more than 1000 years old is the emblem of one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva.At Kedar the Shiva linga is shaped like a bull's hump.

Yamunotri Temple
Yamunotri Temple:Yamunotri temple, situated on the left banks of Yamuna.Yamunotri considered as the westernmost shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas.The chief attraction at Yamunotri is the temple devoted to the Goddess Yamuna and the holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti.Yamuna constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal This temple was built in the 19th century by a descendent of the Jaipur royal family.Surya Kund,Divya Shila , Hanuman Chatti and Saptarishi Kund Lake are the major pilgrim center in Yamunotri. Inside the temple is an idol of Goddess Yamuna carved in black stone that is mainly worshipped and holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti.
