Ethiopian Airlines Launches Hyderabad Route to Boost India-Africa Connectivity

-Ethiopian Airlines now operates thrice-weekly passenger flights to Hyderabad, its fifth destination in India.
-The route aims to boost trade and tourism between India and Africa.
-Ethiopian Airlines now runs 50+ weekly flights across six Indian cities.

Ethiopian Airlines has launched its passenger flight operations to Hyderabad, its fifth Indian destination. The launch was performed at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and witnessed the presence of government officials, ambassadors, and aviation chiefs, commensurate with the airline's strategic expansion to increase air connectivity between Africa and India.

The three-frequency-a-week service will operate as follows:
-ET 682 Addis Ababa to Hyderabad: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays
-ET 683 Hyderabad - Addis Ababa: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays

Mesfin Tasew, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, said, "We are delighted to connect Hyderabad to our Indian network. Not only does the expansion increase passenger travel possibilities but also has a significant contribution towards promoting trade and tourism between Africa and India.

He further emphasized that Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's biggest carrier, is committed to growing its Indian presence and serving the growing need for international air connectivity. With Hyderabad being added to its route, Ethiopian currently operates more than 50 weekly passenger and cargo flights to Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Chennai.

This strategic expansion is intended to further solidify Ethiopian Airlines' position on the Indian subcontinent while pursuing regional integration and ease of travel.
