IndiGo has extended its current
codeshare agreement with
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, enhancing
connectivity for Indian flyers throughout
Europe and the
UK. With the extended agreement, IndiGo will place its code on
30 KLM-operated destinations through
Amsterdam, providing smooth access to major cities like
Paris,
London,
Berlin,
Geneva,
Madrid,
Brussels,
Helsinki,
Oslo,
Prague, and
Stockholm.
This is an expansion on the recent introduction of
nonstop long-haul flights from Mumbai to Amsterdam using
Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft leased from
Norse Atlantic Airlines.
The partnership is based on a wider
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in
June 2025 at the
81st IATA AGM between
IndiGo, KLM, Air France, Delta Air Lines, and
Virgin Atlantic, intended to promote
increased world connectivity.
The initial
IndiGo-KLM codeshare partnership, entered into in
2022, offered KLM passengers entry to
24 points of IndiGo's Indian network. With this intensified cooperation, IndiGo is now substantially increasing its
presence in Europe via KLM's comprehensive route network.
IndiGo CEO
Pieter Elbers stated, 'This enhanced partnership with KLM provides
hassle-free international connectivity for our passengers. It attests to our focus on making
travel simpler and increasing
trade and tourism between India, Europe, and the rest of the world.'
Marjan Rintel, KLM CEO, further said, 'With
Amsterdam as a hub,
Indian travelers will now have increased access to
KLM's European network. This partnership is all about
bridging people and opportunities between continents, with more
flexibility and convenience.'
Bookings for
August 11, 2025, onwards open from
August 1, 2025, across the
codeshare destinations eligible.
