Kochi : The Queen of Arabian Sea

Kochi is located in Eranakulam district and famed as 'Queen of Arabian Sea' since it emerged as a major Seaport of India. In ancient time Kochi was major destination of British, Arabs, Chinese, Portuguese, Dutch etc., have all come to its shores in search of exotic spices. Kochi occupies a very strategic location and has been a significant trading zone and attractive tourist destination since time immemorial. The tradition and reputation of this enchantingly quaint port city has maintained till date.

Portugal was first established its colony in Kochi and followed by Dutch and English. Willington Island is one among the large Man Made Island and named after Lord Willington.

Hill palace Museum which is situated 12 K.M from Kochi and considered as the largest archeological museum in Kerala since it hold Variety of sculptures, rare coins, old weapons.

Jewish Synagogue in Mattancherry which is well known as Paradesi Synagogue is the oldest active synagogue in commonwealth countries. It was built with Dutch patronage; this contributed to the informal name: paradesi synagogue or "foreign" synagogue.
