Thrissur Pooram
This festival is also Known as Pooram of all poorams.Thrissur pooram has been celebrated in April month. Vadakumnatha Temple is the pilgrimage temple situated at the center of Thekenkand Midhan. Hindu Devotees believed that every year the dynastic gods and goddesses of neighboring temple met together for a day of celebration. Thrissur pooram is a 36 hours continuous pooram channeling a huge mass of pooram lovers from different places even from various parts of the world. Thiruvampadi and Paramekkavu are the two temples are the major temples to make the festival an extraordinary one.
Onam Festival
Onam is most prevailing festival in Kerala, Onam is considered as harvest festival of Gods own country. The Carnival of Onam lasting for ten days, although major celebration has been conducting on last four days. Onam celebrating in the beginning month of Malayalam colander called Chingam-usually between August and September.
Vishu Festival
Vishu is one among the religious festival celebrate in Kerala usually in the second week of the April. On the basis of Astrological theory in Vishu has been celebrated in a day when sun is exactly on the equator and the duration of day and night will be almost same. Vishu is considered as astrological New Year in Kerala.
