2.Homs-Syria

Homs previously known as Emesa is a city in western Syria and is the capital of the Homs Governorate. As a part of the 2011-2012 Syrian uprising (Syrian Civil War), large anti-government demonstrations have been held in Homs so far. Referred to as the 'Capital of Revolution', Homs has been under siege (military operation) by the Syrian Army and security forces and according to Syrian government they are targeting ''armed gangs'' and ''terrorists'' in the area.
