In a major boost to the railway infrastructure of Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new
Bengaluru-Belagavi Vande Bharat Express on Sunday, August 10. This is a significant development in improving
train connectivity in Karnataka, linking the southern and northern parts of the state.
The
SouthWestern Railway-operated semi-high-speed train will begin regular service from Monday, August 11, running six days a week, except Wednesdays. The inaugural special train (No. 06575) will be flagged off from
KSR Bengaluru at 11:15 AM on Sunday.
Covering a distance of 611 km, the train will depart from Bengaluru at 2:20 PM and reach
Belagavi at 10:40 PM. On the return, it will leave Belagavi at 5:20 AM and arrive in Bengaluru at 1:50 PM.
The
new Vande Bharat Express route is expected to significantly reduce travel time and offer a faster, more convenient option for passengers traveling between
Bengaluru, Hubballi, and Belagavi. The train is especially beneficial for
business travelers in Karnataka and daily commuters.
