Rain accompanied by winds makes Delhi weather pleasant
New Delhi, Rain, accompanied by winds, in many parts of the capital and adjacent areas made the weather pleasant Thursday afternoon. The Met Office has forecast more rainfall during the day.
"More rain is expected in Delhi and its adjoining areas later in the day. Thunderstorms may also occur in many parts of the city. The day is likely to be pleasant," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The city recorded 1.1 mm of rainfall since 8.00 a.m.
The minimum temperature recorded Thursday was 25.2 degrees Celsius, average for the season.
The day's maximum temperature is likely to hover around 34 degrees Celsius.
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 83 percent.
Wednesday's minimum temperature was recorded at 26.6 degrees Celsius, a degree above the season's average, while the maximum temperature settled at 36 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
