Malampuzha Passenger Ropeway, locally known as Udan Khatola, is located at Malampuzha dam in Palakkad district of Kerala and it is the only Passenger Ropeway in South India. The ropeway built over Malampuzha gardens is one of the gorgeous attractions in the state and one can enjoy brilliant views of the gardens and mountain ranges of Western Ghats, from a height of 60 feet from the ground.

1: GULMARG IS THE SCENIC ONE TOO. I TRAVELLED ON THIS IN A YEAR 1984-85 LATER IT MET WITH AN COLLAPSE AND SEVERAL DEAD. WE NEED MORE SUCH ROPEWAYS ALL ACROSS INDIA. BRING ONE SUCH ROPEWAY IN KARWAR OR HONNAVAR IN KARNATAKA.

3: I entirely agree with Abdul. Auli is perhaps an outdated installation as far as SKI ROPEWAYS ARE CONCERNED. The latest high tech addition is the SOLANG ropeway near Rotang pass.
The data really requires serious re-look and updating.

5: good collection but the author needs to get the data right...mallampuzha is not the only ropeway in south india ...there is also a ropeway at Srisailam in AP which is quite beautiful
