The Ice Runway is one of the three airstrips that serve the Antarctica in transporting essentials to the researchers in McMurdo Station. As the name suggests, there is no runway and instead it has long stretch of ice that is groomed properly. Landing here becomes difficult as the pilot has to make sure that the weight of the aircraft does not crush the ice or it will lead to accidents.
