5) Sundarbans Mangroves
Spread over 4000 square miles of wetlands, Sundarbans Mangroves is the largest mangrove forest in the world. It is recognized by UNESCO's World Heritage Site that covers parts of Bangladesh and West Bengal, India. This vast ecosystem is the home to the Bengal tiger and rare species of birds and fishes. However, UNESCO predicts that 75 percent of this place may disappear under the sea by the end of 21st century.

The picturesque Indonesia is an archipelago that encompasses around 17,508 islands. Eight major island groups are there in this vast chain of island, including Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Irian Jaya. According to Armu Susandi, Jakarta meteorologist, this beautiful archipelago may lose around 2000 islands and 154,000 square miles of land area by 2080. Susandi also predicts that approximately quarter of Jakarta may disappear including the international airport by 2050.
