To many, watching a sunset by the beach is a magical moment. People even say that there are no better appreciative exclamations to describe this marvel. Tourists claim that they have spent hours just gazing at the sea and the sky. Few of the places listed below allow us to witness this spectacular event that nature provides. These beaches are listed as one of the cleanest and warmest beaches in the world with the best scenic view.
Varkala
The Varkala Beach also known as "Papanasam Beach" is situated along the coastline of the Arabian Sea. The beach has a legend behind its name which means to wash away all the sins. The beach is the only place in Southern Kerala where cliffs are found adjacent to the Arabian Sea. There even is an island called Ponnumthurut Island which is a beautiful spot which can be reached by a cruise. There are flights and trains from any part of India to Trivandrum. Varkala town is one hour from the capital and then the beach is a 10 minute drive from the town.
Gokarna
The beaches at Gokarna are the best scenic drives one can experience, with Rocky Mountains and Western Ghats on one side and Arabian Sea on the other. There are three beaches namely, Kudle beach, ohm beach and Paradise beach. A view of the Ohm beach exactly from the mountain top looks like the Sanskrit symbol "ohm" through which it gets its name.
Among them Paradise beach is the best and the most beautiful location in Gokarna. There are no road ways to get to the beach but either a ferry ride or a trek along the mountains can get us to the actual "paradise". The beach is very clean and is usually not inhabited by humans.
Biograd Drazica beach
Known as the crown city of the Croatian kings, this beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia and the Adriatic coast. The town lies on a peninsula and is surrounded by many small islands scattered around it. The beach authorities provide with all possible facilities like changing cabins, catering facilities, life saving equipments and life guards, a parking lot in the vicinity of the beach and to top it all, crystal clear beach for a good swim and tanning for the skin.
Travel- Zadar airport is just 15 kms from the beach.
Kaw kwang beach
It is a very beautifully carved out geographical area along the Andaman coast. It is located in a small town called "ko lanta". "Kaw kwang" literally means "Deer Neck" in Thai. The beach has an elegantly curved beach line which remains one of the spectacular features of the beach. There are little islands which can be reached by walk located at the end of the cape. The nearest airports are Krabi, Trang and Phuket. From these airports its best suggested to take a boat ride or a road trip to Ko Lanta. There are lots of Indian and Thai restaurants which offer excellent delicacies which are much looked for.
Nungwi Beach
The Nungwi beach in Zanzibar is the perfect place to relax. These brilliant beaches are lapped by warm turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. A very traditional fishing village where people follow a very simple lifestyle which has a not changed over the years.
Stay-There are few places to stay by the beach and is really affordable. There are other areas around the beach which are untouched and clean which remain isolated from the cliches of everyday life.
