Located in Brahmani- Baitrani in Orissa, Bhitarkanika's rich vegetation along with variety of flora and fauna attract tourists all through the year. The eco system also includes mangrove forests, rivers, creeks, estuaries, back water, and mud flats. The forest provides protection to numerous endangered species since it declared as a sanctuary in April 1975. The forest rest houses and jungle lodges at Ekakula, Dangmal and Gupti provides accommodation in Bhitarkanika. The best time to visit is from December to February. It costs about 2000 per day.
