Burj Khalifa also holds many other records such as, tallest free-standing structure in the world and elevator with the longest travel distance in the world. The construction of the building was started in 2004 and was finished in 2010.
Rumored to cost around U.S. dollars 1.5 billion, this stunningly designed building is inspired by minarets, desert flowers and by Frank Lloyd Wright's plans for the Illinois Sky-City in Chicago.
