Kamakhya Devi Temple :

Kamakhya Devi Temple

The Kamakhya Temple also known as Kamrup-Kamakhya temple located in Guwahati, Assam. It is an important pilgrimage destination for Hindus and especially for Tantric worshipers. Being the centre for Tantra worship this temple attracts thousands of tantra devotees in an annual festival known as the AmbubachiMela. Another annual celebration is the Manasha Puja. Durga Puja is also celebrated annually at Kamakhya during Navaratri in the autumn. Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam closed around 9:30 pm on Friday for the next four days on the occasion of annual AmbubachiMela. No religious activities will be performed inside the temple till June 26. The doors will be reopened at 7:51 am on June 26.

Fact that amused me:
There is no particular deity in this temple; they worship the vagina or yogi (female Private part) as god. This temple is closed for three days in year for the gods menstruation and this culture is followed even today. I wonder menstruation and holy temple in completely away from each other but here both at same place?

Lepakshi Temple:

Lepakshi Temple

The Veerbhadra Temple also known as Lepakshi Temple located in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh. It was built by the brothers Viranna and Virupanna. And, this temple is one of the most notable examples of the Vijayanagar architectural style. Also, it is famous for its sculptures The temple's main deity is Veerabhadra, the fiery god created by Shiva in his rage after the DakshaYagna and the immolation of Parvathi. Another thing that makes the temple unique and a place to must visit is a footprint that is believed to be of Maa Sita and a leafless tree that is believed to be standing since ages. Abhisheka will be in the morning around 7:00 - 7:30 and visitors are asked to be dressed traditionally as the temple does not permit most of the western wears.

Fact that amused me :
There are almost 70 pillars in this temple and one among them is hanging from the roof purely ground free. It is said once a British ruler tried to pull the pillar down but the damage detected was the entire temple world collapse. I wonder if the engineers in the past had so much technology or is there a hidden reason ?

StambheshwarMahadevTemple :

StambheshwarMahadevTemple

The StambheshwarMahadev Temple also known as PillarshwarMahadev Temple, located in the town of KaviKamboi, Gujarat. This ancient Shiva temple is located on the betwixt of the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Cambay. This is very simple temple with nothing extraordinary in the architecture for the on lookers, but it is still a very unusual must visit religious sites of India. This is a temple where god plays hide n seeks. When the flowers which were placed on the Shiva lingam by the devotees at the time of low tide comes afloat on the surface of the sea water at the time of high tide, it lends a spectrum of bright colors to the sea. Here the Mother Nature performs the 'JalAbhishekh' of the Holy Shiva lingam, herself.

Fact that amused me :
The temple betwixt of a sea disappears twice a day on high tides and its perfectly appears back on low tides. I wonder how the temple is Submerging itself most unusually is it because of nature or a mystery behind building this Shiva shrines ?

PadmanabhaswamyTemple :

PadmanabhaswamyTemple

The Padmanabhaswamy temple located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The name of the city of Thiruvananthapuram in Malayalam translates to "The City of Lord Ananta", referring to the deity of the Padmanabhaswamy temple. It is one of the 108 DivyaDesams, the principal centres of worship in the dharma of Vaishnavism. DivyaDesams are the holy abodes of the great Lord Vishnu, and the temple worships Lord Padmanabha - a reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple. There is a strict dress code visitors need to adhere to. Men should wear a dhoti or mundu while women should wear a saree or a skirt and blouse.

Fact that amused me :
There are 6 vaults, these chambers have been named Vaults A, B, C, D, E, and F to simplify the process. Except for the vault b all the other chamber had treasure and no one has even idea what vault has. I wonder if vault b is opened will we find more treasure or secrets of man kind ?

BrihadisvaraTemple :

BrihadisvaraTemple

Brihadishvara Temple, also known as PeruvudaiyarKovil located in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. A temple famed for size and detail has mystified archaeologists and inspired legends. A group of Chola-era temples designated as a World Heritage Site. Each of "The Great Living Chola Temples" is built in a signature Tamil architecture style-high walls, a fort-like entrance, a moat (that is no longer there), separate rooms inside, long corridors, and paintings of Shiva on the walls. The temple is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the "Great Living Chola Temples".

Fact that amused me :
The Mahalingam - the stone on top of the tower-weighs 80 tons and measures 23 feet around and 9 feet high. Leading up to it are 14 stories of intricately sculpted images. Without cranes, a long ramp was made leading up to the tower, and elephants hauled the stone up to the top, assisted by men with ropes. I wonder this is done for the fame of the Cholas or to make further think how it was build ?

JagannathTemple :

JagannathTemple

Jagannath Temple located in Puri, Odisha. The temple is of utmost importance to the Hindu devotees as it is one of the Char-Dham Pilgrimages. It also serves as a mighty historical structure built about millennia ago, in the year 1078. Millions of people visit Odisha to gain Lord Jagannath blessings. The temple is home to three deities - Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Balabhadra, and sister Subhadra -- whose substantially sized wooden idols sit on a throne. Balabhadra is six feet tall, Jagannatha is five feet, and Subhadra is four feet tall.

Fact that amused me :
the flag mounted on the top of the Jagannath Temple is a unique exception to the principle. This particular flag flows in the opposite direction to the wind's course. I wonder its opposite cause of the nature or a mystry on the top of the that makes the flag behave like this ?
