Cochin Backwaters

Cochin Backwaters is widely known as the ‘Queen of Arabian Sea’ .It is a cluster of islands, lagoons and small rivulets on the vast area of Vembanad Lake. Bolgatty, Vypeen, Gundu, and Vallarpadam are some of the beautiful islands of this place. Fort Kochi, Mattancherry Palace and Hill Palace are the other major attractions nearby Cochin Backwaters. October to March is the best time to visit the place. Harbour Terminus, Ernakulam town and Ernakulam Junction are the Railway stations in Cochin and the nearest airport is at Nedumbassery.
