Best Beaches To Escape The Winter Blues
Playa De Lascatedrales, Spain
Europe is home to many beautiful beaches, and one of which is the Playa de las Catedrales in the Eastern European region of Galicia, northwest of Spain. Officially, Playa de las Catedrales or "beach of the cathedrals" is called "Praia de Augas Santas" or Beach of the Holy Waters.
Playa De Lascatedrales is famous for its natural rock formation that resembles the soaring arches of a cathedral. The natural arches and caves of the beach are best visible when the tide is low, and this remains the most characteristic feature of the place.
The regional Ministry for the Environment of the Xunta de Galicia has declared Playa de las Catedrales a Natural Monument in the year 2008.
So whatever adventure you have in mind, whether it's to climb to huge cliffs, swim in pleasant waters, or explore sand deposits and caves, Playa de las Catedrales is the best place to enjoy all these.
