City Palace, Udaipur
City Palace, Udaipur, is a palace complex in Rajasthan. Place is constructed by Maharana Udai Singh. City palace is situated in the bank of Lake Pichola. The main part of the palace is now conserved as a museum exhibiting a large and diverse array of artifacts. The rooms of the palace are superbly decorated with mirror tiles and paintings. It provides a good sense of Mewar history and the noble lifestyle of its rulers. The palace looks strong from exterior but inside the path leads to many enclosures with luxurious apartments sparkling white filigreed balconies and windows, ornate arches and cupolas atop attractive octagonal towers. The Bari Mahal is an inner garden with view of the city. Some more stunning paintings can be seen in the Zenana Mahal or the ladies chamber, which leads to Lakshmi Chowk a beautiful white pavilion.

City Palace consists of 11 wonderful palaces, which were built by different rulers still they resemble each other. Rooms of the palace are superbly decorated with mirror tiles and paintings. Manak Mahal or the Ruby Palace has a lovely collection of glass and mirror work while Krishna Vilas display a rich collection of miniature paintings.
