Foy Sagar Lake is situated at the west of Ajmer city and it’s an artificial man-made lake. The lake is constrcted in 1892 by English architect Mr. Foy in 1892 A.D, lake was named after him. Lake Foy Sagar was constructed for an exclusive intention to remove the scarcity of water in Ajmer during deficiency. Being an important source of water, it is also very much beautiful. It is now become a famous tourist spots. This artificial lake offers the eye-catching view of the neighboring Aravalli Mountains.

The highest depth of the Lake was 74 feet and the height of the dam was around 59 feet at the time of its construction. Foy Sagar Lake is located on Foy Sagar Rd at the distance of 8 km from the Ajmer city. One can easily reach here by local bus or taxi.

By its magnificence, it seem to be more like a natural lake rather than artificial. It's a privileged picnic spot in today's time, with the beautiful ambience adding quite a charm. Spend a leisurely evening by its side to soak in the beauty that lies in its stillness. Still it is the main source of drinking water to the residents of Ajmer City
