Jaswant Thada is 19th century royal monument constracted in memorial of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, who was the 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur. Jaswant Thada was built by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh. Jaswant Thada white marble memorial, built out of intricately carved sheets of marble.

Most of the stones are tremendously thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when the sun's rays dance across their surface. A visit to this structure is through the rocky hills giving it a secluded and a mystic aura.Since Thada is built in white marble Jaswant Thada is popularly known as the 'Taj Mahal of Marwar'.

The main memorial has been built like a temple with beautiful sculptures, frescos, domes and pillars. The cenotaph also features portraits of the rulers and Maharajas of Jodhpur. Carved gazebos and a multi-tiered garden surround the monument. The cenotaph complex also houses the royal crematorium and three other cenotaphs The Jaswant Thada is a traditional cremation ground of Jodhpur rulers. The major memorial has been built like a temple.
