Vampire Bat
Inseparable from the chronicles of vampire, the Vampire bat was rumored to be inspired by a newspaper article about these inhabitants of South and Central America. The place Bram Stoker, the Irish author put these blood-sucking creatures while writing his novel is Costa Rica. These small bats feed on blood of animals and hardly ever hurt humans. The best places to see them in the wild are Santa Rosa National Park and Corcovado National Park.
