The Radiant, Ranipuram is a hill station located within Kasargod district of Kerala state Panathady Panchayat, Vellarikundu Taluk, south India. Ranipuram lies 750 m above sea level adjacent to Kottancheri-Talacavery mountain range.
It was Maadathumala in the earlier days which was later became famous with the name Ranipuram. The trekking spot starts from the Tourist home at the valley where you can opt two routes. The way gives you the raw picture of Thick forest and scenic beauty from the peak.
Ranipuram is famous for its trekking trails and varied vegetation - evergreen shola woods, monsoon forests and grasslands. The extensive forests of Madathumala merge with the forests of Karnataka. The Radiant, Ranipuram in its natural beauty is comparable to Ooty. Wild elephants can be seen wandering on the top of the mountains. Jeep services to Ranipuram are readily available from Panathady.
