Trip to Washington was the most unexpected trip we undertook in the near future. 5 hours from Princeton, the place where we stayed and on the way, we decided to visit National
Aquarium in Baltimore. The climate was too cold but the wonders of the water world was a fascinating experience.
My daughter really enjoyed the trip, especially the dolphin show. Downtown Baltimore was crowded even on the cold evening and as we ran to the car to get into the heat.Again a 3 hours drive to Washington and we reached our hotel at about 10.00pm at night.I was really excited about the next day since I was going to experience the metro service of US for the first time. 30 minutes in the metro and we reached the Smithsonian station. The station looked very similar to the stations I have seen in the hollywood movies.
As we came up from the underground station, I felt I was walking through the pages of history. We walked from the Lincoln memorial to Capitol to get a feel of the whole place. Since it was the month of March, Cherry Blossoms were all bloomed on both sides and the view was too spectacular. We went to Natural History Museum, Spy museum, art museum, WhiteHouse and some other Smithsonion Institutes.
On the whole, it was a wonderful and most learning experience for us.
