Concordia and Gondoro La

The route from Concordia to Gondoro La offers a close up look at the second highest mountain on earth, K2. The route starts at Askole and proceeds for a week up the Baltoro Glacier to Concordia, a spectacular glacial intersection ringed by four 26,000-foot peaks, also called as the "Throne Room of the Mountain Gods". From Concordia, a 18,400-foot snow covered pass into the Hushe Valley marks the end point at Gondoro La. This pass is strictly recommended for hardcore trekkers who really can withstand the sufferings.
