7. Pamukkale, Turkey
Pamukkale, which means cotton Castle, in Turkey is a world famous hot springs site. This site has been recently named as a World Heritage Site. People have bathed in these pools for over thousands of years. Remember "Kaise Bataye Kyun Tujhko Chahe" from Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Prem ki Kahani. Well that romantic love song was shot right here.
Legend: As all other bizarre natural phenomenons, Pamukkale also has a sweet legend attached to it. It is said that there was a young girl who was ugly and because of that no one wanted to marry her. Because of this humiliation she decided to commit suicide. Legend says that she jumped off the travertine and fell into the natural pool. She did not die but instead turned into a beautiful young girl. The Lord of Denizil happened to pass by her and see her at that moment. He fell in love with her and married her.
