Located in Greenland, Ittoqqortoormiit spreads over more than 836,000 square miles in size. But what makes this land desolate is its tiny population. With more than 500 people, this village is located on the island's eastern shore, to the north of Iceland. The main occupation of the residents around here is hunting polar bears and whales. One of the most interesting facts is that as the surrounding sea is permanently frozen; this town is only accessible 3 months in a year which happens to be their summer vacation.
