Alert is a small village that lies on the Arctic Ocean only 500 miles below the North Pole. Located on the tip of the Nunavut territory in Canada, Alert is one of the most inhabited and the most inhospitable place across the world. With temperatures that can go as low as below minus 40 degrees, Alert posses unique days wavering with 24-hour sunlight during the summer and 24-hour darkness during the winter. The only structures that you find in Alert are a Canadian radio receiving facility, a weather laboratory and an unusable airstrip.
