10 Most Remote Places on Earth

4. Pitcairn Island:
rem
An island that is situated at the center of the southern Pacific Ocean, the Pitcairn Island has its closest neighbors, the Gambier Islands and Tahiti situated several hundred miles away. With a mere population of not more than 50 people, this island is the last remaining British territory in the Pacific. Residents make living here by farming, fishing and selling their extremely rare postage stamps to collectors.
Another interesting fact is that, out of 50, most of the inhabitants are the descendants of the crew members from the famous HMS Bounty. The Pitcairn Island is also one of the most isolated islands across the globe as it takes 10 day ride on a shipping boat from the nearest city, New Zealand.
