10 Oldest Cities of the World

8. Asyut, Egypt (before 2160 B.C.)
oldest

Asyut is the largest town in Upper Egypt, which is also the region's most important agricultural centre. It is believed that Virgin Mary appeared here in 2000 and this is recognized as official by the Coptic Orthodox Church. It is the Egyptian city with the maximum Coptic Christian concentration. The banana island and the 19th century barrage in the northern edge of the city are some of the major tourist attractions.

1: Title is certainly wrong. It is true that Jeruslem is one of the oldest cities apart from Rome.
Even one city from China is there. What about cities from Grece? Athens? Consider the times of Alexander and Asoka. Why not Patna, capital of Asoka? What happened to Hastinaput (Delhi)
