Tegua, an island in Vanuatu's Torres Islands chain is a part of the Torres Strai Islands located in the South Pacific, Approximately, the island consists of 100 residents and the only village is Lateu with a population of 64.
The 100 residents of Tegua were evacuated by the government because rising sea levels were flooding their island. Much of the flooding occurred because the island sunk nearly five inches between 1997 and 2009, but the sea level also rose which led to about a quarter of the flooding.

Micronesia, made up of 607 mountainous islands is a subregion of Oceania, comprising thousands of small islands in the western Pacific Ocean. It consists of low-lying coral reefs and is being eroded by rising sea levels which has made even the cemeteries disappear.
It is different from Melanesia to the south and Polynesia to the east. The islands are east of Phillipines and consist of about 102,624 populations. Due to the rise of ocean water, it kills off food crops and even a small one meter rise would make the land inhabitable.
