Mekedatu Falls: Mekedatu is a gorgeous rocky place with water falls from river Cauvery. The confluence of rivers Arkavathi and Cauvery can be seen here. This place is located near kanakapura and comes under rural district of Bangalore. Cauveri river from Shimsa flows further to meet Arkavathi which comes from Ramanagaram side in this sangam place. Mekedatu is a beautiful place situated along the nanks of River Kaveri in the district of Bangalore. The place is situated at a distance of 90 km from the city of Bangalore.The place got its name as Mekedatu from an incident which was witnessed by some herdsmen in the region long ago. It is said that a goat being followed by a tiger made a huge efforts to save itself by jumping from one of the sides of this gorge and was able to cross over the furious river underneath, but the tiger did not try to imitate this achievement and stopped chasing the goat. The spot where the goat leapt has broadened due to the erosion caused by river the river Kaveri.

Jog Falls: Jog Falls on the Sharavathi river is situated in Shimoga district of Karnataka. Cascading from a height of 253 meters, the waterfall consists of four distinct cascades - known locally as Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket.
