2. Siberian Road to Yakutsk (Russia)
Siberian Road is the only Russian Federal Highway which connects Yakutsk to Moscow and it stretches up to 1235 kilometers. This is the place where the coldest temperature ever recorded outside Antarctica. Yakutsk is the largest city built on continuous permafrost. Most houses in Yakutsk are built on concrete piles because of the frozen ground.
"Lena" is another synonym for this road because of the river nearby. Unique fact about this road is you can drive this only in winters and early springs. Rest of the year, it is next to impossible to drive because of the rains.
