The Kangshung Face of Everest

The Kangshung face of Everest is clearly the most impressive of Everest's faces. Situated at the east, the Kangshung trek begins from the village of Kharta, across the high alpine desert. The end point of the alpine desert opens up into the beautiful Kangshung valley. Here you get to see the true elegance of the Himalayas as there are no obstructions to block your view. From here travel a bit more east to the Pethang Ringmo and then circle back to Kharta via the 17,000-foot Langma La, where you finish at the starting point.
